Redefine Normal // Rediscover Hope

If you're engaged and excited about what you read here, then consider getting my newsletter. This won't be a way to read all my blog posts, and it's not a "help me sell my stuff" list. Let's be honest -- you don't need another sales newsletter, do you?

Yes, I'll talk about my books and where I'm speaking, but it's really another chance for community. I'll share random things that may or may not interest you...like my favorite coffee and why I think wombats are better than narhwals. And I'll invite you to do the same.

Perfectly Abnormal is Coming

On September 19, #PerfectlyAbnormal releases. This book is the best thing I have ever written in my life (Of course, editors made sure this happened, but I digress).

Perfectly Abnormal: Uncovering the Image of God in Chronic Illness tears down the eight most common myths that those of us in the chronic illness / special needs community hear, day in and day out. But it’s not a whine-fest.

This book goes beyond pointing out problems, and opens the dialogues that need to happen to bring real change. It addresses what is often a poor theology of illness, and looks to the Gospel of John for a sound understanding of how God views illness.

Part of the challenge with every book, especially in a world where literally millions of books are available for sale, is finding an audience.

This is where YOU can come in! I am forming a launch team for this book right now. I am looking for people who are willing to read an advance copy of my book and, at a minimum, post a review on Amazon when the book releases.

I would love it if you want to do more. I would be happy to let you tweet like crazy about my book. I would be thrilled if you decided to interview me on your blog or podcast (if you’ve got either of those). I would be spectacular if you decided to Pinterest or Instagram your heart out about my book too.

But, all that is icing on the cake. It’s really Amazon and/or Goodreads reviews I’m looking for.

If this sounds interesting to you, let me know. Drop a reply to this post, or IM me on Facebook. Especially if you’re passionate about the chronic illness community — then I would be even more excited to talk to you!

And by all means, if you know of other people who might be interested in joining my launch team, feel free to share this post.

Thanks for reading to the end of this short essay!
