We have all had days where it seems like we see nothing but obstacles.
No matter which way we turn, we run into a wall.
It feels like we have nowhere to go.
No options left.
We are just stuck.
Hope is gone.
There is no way on.
This video powerfully reminds us that we are NEVER out of options.
If God is for us, who can be against us.
With God, what seems like a hopeless situation is not only possible — it’s favorable.
Some days, He feels absent.
We must not forget Him because we don’t feel His presence, don’t see His actions, don’t experience His power.
He is faithful, and will always be faithful.
In my experience, we can be stirred to hope with equal strength by stories in the Bible or stories outside the Bible.
Let’s bring hope to each other.
When is one time you saw God come through, and you just knew it was Him?
Great message. Powerful visual. We need to be reminded about the walls. That they are not walls to God. have to share. Great job, Chris.
It is just way too easy to focus on the circumstances and forget the God who brought us to them
Last year, God came through for me in ways in unforeseen and unexpected. And He has proved himself faithful time and time again in ways both big, and small.
Thank-you for the hope-filled reminder, Chris.
Wow, this is powerful stuff, Chris! A real word in due season for all who may be suffering and struggling to hang on in the midst of great trials. It is a greatly encouraging message which reinforces the ideas from ‘The Wall Around Your Heart’ by Mary de Muth. I agree with Anne on what a powerful visual it is. Seeing this makes the truth come alive in a new way. We all need reminding how God specialises in knocking down walls and rescuing people. Thank you so much for this great post. I love it!
I love that we have a faithful God. Anything you would feel comfortable sharing? If not, no big deal — thought it might be cool to hear some “God stories” on this post though.
It is very “wallie” isn’t it? ๐
Loved this video so much much
Love this post Chris:) He is faith and will always be faithful…even when He seems absent. Thanks for the great reminder:)
It is far too easy to forget, isn’t it. Boy, I hope when I grow up I am able to speak as passionately and poignantly as this gentleman!
Out of curiosity, any stories come to your mind of times when God showed Himself unexpectedly faithful?
I have a boatload of stories of when God showed Himself faithful. Like when our trailer burned down and people helped supply us with a place to live and food. When we went through 17 months of living by miracles(literally)…when people showed up with the back of their truck filled with groceries on the very day that our family had eaten the last of our food! When our 2 teenagers were in a bicycle accident 2 years ago, rushed to the hospital with major head injuries and they are healed today. I could go on and on …God is so faithful I love it!
I saw God come through when I was about to testify at my sister’s murder trial. When I was led into the courtroom, I didn’t go alone. He steadied my shaking hands when I had to point to my brother-in-law. God showed up. Truth is, He has always been here, and always will be. Sometimes we just let the wind and waves seem bigger.
Anne,
Every time you share more of your story, I am amazed. You have had every opportunity to turn away from God, but you didn’t. I admire you for that, and thanks for trusting this community with some of your past hurt.
Lorna,
Thanks for the preview into the faithfulness of God on display in your life. Amazing stories about how the folks would show up just in time. I am becoming more and more convinced that we serve a just-in-time God.
Chris, instead of recounting the story here (where there isn’t space), allow me to direct you to my blog:
A Purpose in the Pain
I think it’ll worth your (and your readers’) time.
ok, just watched and all i have to say is: i’m all tingly. yay god!
I am not entirely sure if you are being sarcastic. Either way, I am going to take it as a serious comment
haha! the problem with being known as a smart ass is sometimes you’re being serious and you just confuse people. at that conclusion, i really did get a tingle feeling. a fantastic video and post!
I watched this last week and it was AMAZING! probably something I need to watch weekly ๐
It’s been hard to wait sometimes for God to show up, but He is faithful…love Him!
I know I need to watch it regularly. That is frankly part of the reason I put it on my site. So I can find it
Wow! Sometimes (often) we just need to be reminded that nothing is impossible with God. It’s so easy to look on the lives of the people in Scripture and see that, yet in our own lives, we doubt. But NOTHING is impossible with God! Thank you for sharing this, Chris.
So true Joan. Especially ehen we go through seasons where EVERY DAY is a struggle.
