I am very excited to let you know that there are some changes coming on my site in the very near future. After 106 posts over about the past year…I think I have finally stumbled into my niche. A lot of my journey has not actually been directly related to my blogging, or anywhere else actually. I learned a lot while writing my book.
I have a strong first draft of my book Rescuing Hope: Overcoming Myths About Chronic Illness. This book details the myths others tell us about our chronic illnesses — lies like “Just Pop a Pill and Get Over It” — and the myths we tell ourselves — like “You Can (and Should) Fix It Alone”. I talk about the pain and paralysis we can feel when we believe these statements. I also clear the air and share the truth about these statements. Then, for each myth, I lay out one or more questions we can ask ourselves, in order to rescue hope in our lives and move forward.
As I wrote more and more about practical strategies to overcome pain, sorrow, and brokenness in life, I found more joy than I have ever found before in my writing.
So, my site is going to be undergoing a facelift to better reflect this changing priority in my writing. For a glimpse of where I am going, take a look at my revised About page. And then wait and see what the coming week or two brings. I am so excited to unveil my new and improve piece of the InterWebs! This is the start of something very new and exciting in my journey, and I hope you will continue along with me.
